MaCS program presentation for students: Oct.19th

Grade 8 and 9 students interested in the MaCS program (Math, Computers, Science) are welcome to attend an info session during their lunch period on Thursday, October 19th. The MaCS program coordinator, Mr. Leder, will be coming to SAJH to do a presentation and answer student questions.

Interested students need to be registered with Ms. Wong in order to attend; those students will receive a special lunch pass for that day. Students should bring a lunch that day, so that they can be present for the whole presentation.

TO REGISTER:

  • Please provide Ms. Wong with the full name of the student, homeroom, and what period lunch the student has on Day 4 (period 4 or 5).
  • Registration via email (megan.wong@tdsb.on.ca) or Remind message.
  • Also, please have your child signed up on Remind so that I can nudge them about this info session (and future events)!

POLL: grade 8 and 9 end of year activities

With the change from a junior high to middle school occurring as of September 2018, we will be having both the grade 8 and grade 9 students all leaving St. Andrew’s JHS at the end of June. In preparation for year-end events, we have prepared a survey to gather information from both parents/guardians and students. The survey is located online and takes only a few minutes to fill out.

Students have been provided time during school hours to fill out their survey, and will all have had the opportunity to share their input by the end of the week.

We ask that parents/guardians of grade 8 and/or grade 9 students please fill out the form, one set of responses per household. Please complete the survey by NOON of Tuesday, October 17th, 2017; after this time, the survey will be closed. The survey can be found online at:

REMIND messaging

Remind is the way that I send information and notices out to students and their families; info can be received over text message, app notifications, or email. It allows me to send more detailed information directly to the people who need it most! Personal information is all kept private. Please see the handout that your child has, or review the attached documents.

Please note that app use requires data or wifi connection, and standard rates apply for text messaging.
