April 12, 2017 marks the International Day of Pink. It is a day where communities across the country, and across the world, can unite in celebrating diversity and raising awareness to stop homophobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, and all forms of bullying.
Through pink T-shirt sales, we raised $100 in donations for the Skylark LGBTQ Youth and Allies program. So let’s show that spirit, St. Andrew’s, and participate even more in Wednesday’s Day of Pink!
- On Wednesday, wear pink! The period 1 class with the best Day of Pink participation will win a prize!
- Meet at break to take a group picture – at the flagpole if the weather is good.
The Day of Pink is a symbol of shared belief in celebrating diversity – and also a commitment to being open minded, accepting differences and learning to respect each other.
Remember: anyone can bully, any can be victimized by bullying, but together we can stop it.
