Secondary Summer School 2014

Get ahead with secondary summer programs! Grade 9 students can catch up on high school credit courses, or take selected credits ahead (including ESL courses). This summer the TDSB is running programs at many secondary schools. NOTE: All registrants must have earned course pre-requisites.

Students at risk of not attaining a credit are encouraged to sign up now for the remedial course; this ensures that a space is available for them. Please remember to hand in the signed consent form to Guidance. If the credit is successfully completed during the regular school year, the student will be removed from the summer course at no penalty.

Summer school registration deadline is Thursday, June 26th.

Peer Tutoring ends

After a busy year, we are wrapping up the peer tutoring program for this school year. Friday, May 30th will be the last day for the peer tutoring program. Our grade 9 students are in the midst of culminating activities and preparing for exams, and most of the grade 8 students will be away on the Ottawa trip next week.

Tutors should retrieve their time sheets from the supervising teachers, total up their time, and hand forms in to Ms. Wong. Time sheets and any other volunteer hours must be submitted by June 13th in order to have information included on the final report card.

Remember that, for any volunteer opportunity outside of the school, a reference letter must be included with the yellow Community Involvement form.
